PLEX POWER SKATE (Advanced)  

Recommended for 8U Red, 10U A or B, 12U A or B

Ages 8 to 12

Spring #1 (Mar 7 to Apr 4)

This session lesson plan will be designed for the skater who can already skate well. Skaters must be able to skate, forward, backward, and stop on command. An action-packed, high energy instructional power skating program geared towards hockey skaters that focuses on balance, power, agility, speed and endurance in the learn to train phase of the long-term athlete development. Skills, techniques and conditioning drills are taught in a progressive format that emphasizes how the skills apply to game situations. Our focus is on developing proper skating technique and teaching the players the concepts behind the techniques so they can better understand the system. We start by slowing the players down and teaching them the correct way of skating. Then we bring the player back up to speed. The players will develop a Longer stride, use Less energy, and will be able to skate Faster!

An action-packed, high energy instructional power skating program geared towards hockey skaters that focuses on balance, power, agility, speed and endurance in the learn to train phase of the long-term athlete development. HOCKEY SKILLS / PLEX POWER SKATE  

Recommended for 6U, 8U Blue

Hockey Level: All

Instructors: Dmytro Golovko & Daniel Nordlander

Geared to skaters who can already skate forward and backwards. For safety reasons participants should wear full hockey equipment. There will be structured time set aside in this program to focus on hockey development in stick handling, passing, angling, 1v1 strategies for offence & defence.

This class will also feature action-packed, high energy instructional power skating program geared towards hockey skaters that focuses on balance, power, agility, speed and endurance in the learn to train phase of the long-term athlete development.
