Future Hawks : Learn to Play
The Future Hawks Learn to Play and Continue Play programs are for players newer to the sport looking to work on the basic skills of playing hockey in a fun environment.
We are also partners with the St. Louis Blues and host Little Blues sessions.
Upcoming Programs
Ages
It is for children at least 5 yrs old who have completed a Learn to Skate class or who can skate from one end of the rink to the other unassisted.
When
We run multiple sessions a year.

Where
All of the classes are held at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex.
Practices
Each session will consist of 50 minute classes once a week.
Jerseys
A jersey and socks are provided to first time players.
Equipment
Full equipment is required.
We do loan out equipment on a first come, first serve basis. If you need rental equipment, please contact Gus at Coaching@IceHawksHockey.org

Spring 2024 Future Hawks
Future Hawks and Learn to Play/ Continue to Play
The Continue to Play program is for players who have been through a learn to play program or who have previously played on a team who want to continue working on their skating, passing and shooting skills.
This is also for players 10-12 who are too old to participate in the Little Blues Learn to Play.
When: Monday nights at 7pm from May 13th-June 24th.
Where: McKendree Metro Rec Plex
Cost:$100
A jersey will be provided to players who are new to the Ice Hawks organization.
Full equipment is required.

Lady Hawks Learn to Play and Continue to Play
In this program, Girls can learn the fundamentals of playing hockey with other girls.
When: May 13th - June 24th
Time: 7-7:50 pm
Cost:$100
Player must be able to move around the ice unassisted. A prior learn to skate class is recommended
Full equipment is required
Jersey is provided for first time Ice Hawk learn to play participants.
