Little Hawks Continue to Play

A next-step development program for young players ready to keep building their game.

The Little Hawks Continue to Play program is designed for players who have already been on a team or have completed a Learn to Play program and are ready to continue developing their skills in a structured and positive environment.

This program focuses on reinforcing fundamentals while introducing more game-like concepts, helping players build confidence, improve skating and puck skills, and continue their hockey journey.

Little Blues Learn to Play

A fun, low-cost introduction to hockey for first-time players ages 4–9. Includes 6 on-ice sessions and a full set of equipment.

What is Little Blues Learn to Play?

The St. Louis Blues Learn to Play program is a six-week introduction to hockey for kids ages 4–9 who have never participated in organized youth hockey. Each participant receives a complete equipment kit and six on-ice sessions to learn the basics in a fun, supportive environment. Skating lessons are recommended prior to starting.

  • Week 2: Monday, March 30, 2026 β€” 5:30–6:20 PM
  • Week 3: Monday, April 6, 2026 β€” 5:30–6:20 PM
  • Week 4: Monday, April 13, 2026 β€” 5:30–6:20 PM
  • Week 5: Monday, April 20, 2026 β€” 5:30–6:20 PM
  • Week 6: Monday, April 27, 2026 β€” 5:30–6:20 PM

Registration includes a complete set of equipment:

Little Blues jersey Skates Helmet Gloves Shoulder pads Elbow pads Hockey pants Shin guards Hockey socks Neck guard Hockey stick
Important: Once equipment has been ordered, no refunds are allowed.

Players are required to wear a full set of equipment to all of our programs.

Little Hawks Continue to Play – Spring Session

The Little Hawks Continue to Play program is designed for players who are ready to build on their hockey foundation. This program is a great fit for players who have already played on a team or have completed a Learn to Play program and are looking to continue developing their skills in a structured, positive environment.

Sessions will focus on reinforcing core fundamentals such as skating, puck control, passing, and small-area gameplay, while continuing to build confidence and hockey awareness. The goal of Continue to Play is to help players progress while keeping practices fun, engaging, and age-appropriate.

Spring Session Details

Day: Mondays

Dates: March 30 – April 27

Time: 6:30 PM

Class Length: 50 minutes

Location: McKendree Metro Rec Plex

This program is not intended for first-time skaters. Players new to hockey should register for a Learn to Play program instead.
